Hi, I'm Caroline Ann!

Full time mama, part time watercolor artist.

When I had my first kid, I experienced a whirlwind of emotions. Joy, overwhelm, amazement, and fear.

As I settled in to motherhood, I've been amazed at the simple, slow beauty that has shown through every stage and every moment. There's been no greater joy than watching my daughter grow and change.

What I didn't realize was the impact this would have on my artwork. I found myself inspired by the classic children’s storybooks we read together, and that inspired grew into my best-selling storybook art collection

There’s something so uniquely inspiring & comforting about classic literature; from Winnie the Pooh and his gaggle of beloved friends, to the bravery & pluck of beloved Madeline on the streets of Paris.

I want my children to be inspired by these creative, resourceful, thoughtful characters, as they grow into lifelong readers. My hope with each storybook illustration is that you, too are inspired by the creativity and kindness amidst the pages of classic books.

I started to paint flowers as a fun past-time to add a little beauty to my ordinary life. It quickly became more than a hobby, and in 2020, I pursued my art as a business. With small steady steps, By Caroline Ann has now grown into a stationery & art business creating thoughtful paper goods inspired by nature and books.

My hope with everything I create is that it will help you connect with those you love.

A little about me...

Hi, I’m Caroline Ann - I love watercolor painting and beautiful paper, enjoy vast quantities of coffee and homemade bread, and am both a wife and mama.

When I look back on my time as an artist, I am blessed beyond belief to create stationery that captures the beautiful, simple moments of motherhood & family. This business gives me the opportunity to serve moms, grandparents, & family, which is an honor that does not go unnoticed.

When I’m not in my studio painting away, I’m usually hanging with my husband and baby girl, spending our time outside in nature or in the kitchen cooking delicious homemade meals.

My love for paper started at a young age...

My love for letter-writing and all things paper is from growing up watching my mom write letters. Each note thoughtfully crafted, her notecard collection was always full and ready for use. She is the master of celebrating every occasion, no matter how small. Continuing that tradition, By Caroline Ann invitations & cards help pass down a new legacy, with my own daughter.

That spirit of celebration and intention has carried all the way into hand-painted watercolor design I create. I am honored to be able to carry on the tradition so lovingly passed down to me by my own mom.
