Hi, I'm Caroline Ann!

Full time mama, part time watercolor artist.

When I had my first kid, I experienced a whirlwind of emotions. Joy, overwhelm, amazement, and fear.

As I settled in to motherhood, I've been amazed at the simple, slow beauty that has shown through every stage and every moment. There's been no greater joy than watching my daughter grow and change.

What I didn't realize was the impact this would have on my artwork. I found myself inspired by my own family legacy of gardeners, as I watched my daughter experience immense joy growing flowers in our backyard.

There’s something so uniquely comforting & grounding about growing a home garden; from towering zinnias to colorful cosmos to the ever-practical herb.

I want pass down a legacy of gardening & letter-writing that my own mom and grandmother passed down to me. My hope with each garden inspired illustration is that you, too are inspired by the immense beauty of nature, found in my very own backyard.

I started to paint flowers as a fun past-time to add a little beauty to my ordinary life. It quickly became more than a hobby, and in 2020, I pursued my art as a business. With small steady steps, By Caroline Ann has now grown into a thriving stationery business creating vintage illustrations inspired by nature and gardening.

My hope with everything I create is that it will help you connect with those you love.

Hi, I’m Caroline Ann - I love watercolor painting and beautiful paper, enjoy growing zinnias and cosmos with my daughter, and am a life-long lover of flowers.

When I look back on my time as an artist, I am blessed beyond belief to create stationery that captures the beautiful, simple moments of home gardening. This business gives me the opportunity to serve moms, grandparents, & family, as you connect with loved ones through florals & gardening, which is an honor that does not go unnoticed.

When I’m not in my studio painting away, I’m usually hanging with my husband and two children, spending our time outside in our backyard, or in the kitchen cooking delicious meals seasoned with herbs from our garden.

My love for paper started at a young age...

My love for letter-writing and all things paper is from growing up watching my mom write letters. Each note thoughtfully crafted, her notecard collection was always full and ready for use. She is the master of celebrating every occasion, no matter how small. Continuing that tradition, By Caroline Ann invitations & cards help pass down a new legacy, with my own daughter.

That spirit of celebration and intention has carried all the way into each hand-painted, garden-inspired design I create. I am honored to be able to carry on the tradition so lovingly passed down to me by my own mom and grandmother.
